Peer Review Policy

Frontiers in Plant Biotechnology follows a rigorous, fair, and transparent peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific integrity of published research. All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned editor for relevance, originality, ethical compliance, and suitability for the journal. Manuscripts meeting the initial requirements are sent to qualified independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers assess the scientific quality, methodology, originality, clarity, statistical analysis, and significance of the work and provide constructive recommendations. The journal maintains confidentiality throughout the review process and expects reviewers to declare any potential conflicts of interest. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers' comments. Final publication decisions are made by the editor based on the quality of the manuscript and the reviewers' recommendations. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or other forms of research misconduct.
